Transport and safety

Getting around the municipality safely is one of our long-term priorities. Step by step we are preparing measures to improve traffic, parking and pedestrian safety.

What we have achieved together

We rebuilt the previously unpaved section of K Loužce street.
We built the Vysoký Újezd – Kuchař cycle path.
We improved safety around the schools and nurseries with new crash barriers and guard rails.
We had a traffic study drawn up for the whole municipality and are putting the agreed signage in place step by step.
Together with the Central Bohemian Region we prepared designs for rebuilding the regional roads and adding new pavements.
We have designs ready for new car parks at Na Vyhlídce and by the Žabka shop.
We resurfaced Tyršova náves to cut dust and make maintenance easier.

What we plan to do

Push through the reconstruction of the regional roads and build new pavements along them.
Support a bypass round the centre of Vysoký Újezd and calm the traffic on Tyršova náves.
Improve safety in Kuchař and Kozolupy.
As part of the land consolidation, build a ‘bypass’ of Kozolupy for farm machinery.
Resurface K Silu, K Vodárně, Ke Kameňáku, V Chaloupkách and V Uličce streets.
Strengthen public transport by introducing an on-demand service.
