Environment

Quality of life is not only about new buildings. Caring for the surrounding landscape, greenery and natural resources matters just as much. We want Vysoký Újezd to keep its village character, to be a clean and pleasant place to live, and to be ready for the challenges ahead, such as water management, waste and protecting the environment.

What we have achieved together

We planted almost 100 trees with the help of various grants.
We began modernising waste management and introduced microchipped bins.
We are continuing to restore the municipal forests – felling infested stands and planting new ones.
We moved the comprehensive land consolidation in Kozolupy forward.
We prepared green-space studies for every part of the municipality.
We replaced street lighting with energy-saving LED lamps, cutting energy use by 91.5% and reducing light pollution.

What we want to finish

Support the planting of greenery and the upkeep of public spaces.
Complete the modernisation of waste management and encourage better recycling.
Expand rainwater management and make the municipality more resilient to drought.
Keep looking after the municipal forests and the surrounding landscape.
