A full nine-year primary school in Vysoký Újezd
Complete a full nine-year primary school in the village – the top priority of our 2024 programme.
Where we go next →- DoneBuild a new lower-primary pavilion with four classrooms and an extended dining hall and kitchen
The pavilion for 120 children was completed and signed off in September 2025 and officially opened in October 2025. The extended dining hall and kitchen were signed off in August 2025. Total cost CZK 62 million, with a CZK 10 million grant from the Central Bohemian Region and a further CZK 1.2 million for equipment.
- DoneFind a site for the upper primary school
The study places the upper primary school on the site of the current municipal office. The office will move to the farmstead on the village green, which the municipality bought in 2025.
- In progressBuild the upper primary school (years 6–9)
Architectural study completed (autumn 2025), designer chosen (February 2026), design documentation under way. The start of construction depends on securing a grant.
- In progressMake the most of grants for building the school
CZK 11.2 million secured for the pavilion. For the upper primary school a grant covering at least 70% is essential – we are expecting a new Ministry of Education scheme.
Traffic and road safety
An expert traffic study, safer journeys through the villages, rebuilt local roads and new pavements.
Where we go next →- DoneDraw up a traffic-safety study for every part of the municipality
The studies for Vysoký Újezd, Kozolupy and Kuchař are complete and the measures are being rolled out step by step.
- DoneImprove safety around the municipal office and the school
A pilot traffic-calming scheme around the school was delivered in spring 2025 – bollards and chains, a parking ban alongside the nursery, and new road markings.
- DoneRebuild K Loužce street
New asphalt, pavement and street lighting, finished in December 2025. Cost CZK 3.9 million, with a CZK 2 million grant from the Region.
- In progressRebuild the regional roads and add new pavements
The municipality's design documentation is complete; the work itself is in the hands of the Central Bohemian Region.
- In progressRebuild K Silu, Ke Kameňáku, K Vodárně, V Chaloupkách and V Uličce streets
Both sets of design documentation, for K Silu and for K Vodárně, are complete and we are waiting for the grant call to open (autumn 2026). The remaining streets stay in the 2026 programme – see Transport and safety.
- In progressReduce traffic volumes – road realignments and a Kozolupy bypass
The Region has commissioned the design documentation for realigning road II/116. The comprehensive land consolidation in Kozolupy, which the bypass depends on, is already under way.
Investment in the municipality's development
Projects ready and waiting, and grants used to the full for education, sport, culture and transport.
Where we go next →- DoneHave projects ready and draw actively on grants
CZK 43 million in grants secured over the term – the school pavilion, school equipment, the U Kůlen playground, the technical services' electric vehicle, the fire-brigade vehicle and more.
- DoneStrategic purchases of land and buildings for future public amenities
The historic farmstead on the village green was bought in the summer of 2025 as the future centre of the village, along with the 37,625 m² plot at U Křížku for public amenities.
- DoneGive the technical services a base and equipment
A new depot at Na Pekinku, two lorries including an electric one, and a stable team.
- DoneInvest in greenery every year
Almost 100 trees and more than 300 shrubs planted with the help of volunteers and donors.
- In progressOutdoor sports grounds and a multi-purpose hall
The U Kůlen playground (June 2025) and the sports area behind the barn in Kozolupy (September 2025) are finished; the Kuchař sports ground is in preparation; the hall remains a goal for the next term.
- In progressSettle the zoning plan so that public amenities can be built on the U Křížku plot
The draft zoning plan has been through public consultation and the objections and comments are being dealt with.
A stronger community and revived village greens
Community centres in Kozolupy and Kuchař, revived village greens, a rich cultural life.
Where we go next →- DonePut on cultural and neighbourhood events in every part of the municipality
Dozens of events a year – the Shrovetide carnival, witches' night, children's day, St Martin's celebrations, the Christmas tree lighting, the municipal ball, events for seniors, Autumn in Kozolupy.
- DoneA new playground and sports ground in Kozolupy
A volleyball court and sports area behind the barn (2025), and a pergola by the Club.
- In progressA community centre in Kozolupy
The study is finished and the individual steps are being delivered one by one (the barn, a pergola, an electricity connection); rebuilding the house itself is in the 2026 programme.
- In progressRevive the village green in Kuchař with a pond
The design for the community space on the green is ready; building it is in the 2026 programme.
- In progressA new centre for Vysoký Újezd
The farmstead on the village green was bought in 2025 and its conversion into a social centre is being prepared.
- In progressA new look for the village greens in all three parts of the municipality
Kuchař has a finished design for a community space with a pond on its green. A first proposal for Kozolupy came out of the green-space study. In Vysoký Újezd, Tyršova náves has a new surface and, with the farmstead bought, it is clear where the new centre will be – the full makeover of the green is in the 2026 programme.
Connecting every part of our municipality
Walking and cycling links between Kuchař, Kozolupy and Vysoký Újezd.
Where we go next →- DoneFinish the walking and cycling path from Kuchař to Vysoký Újezd
The cycle path was officially opened on 6 October 2024.
- In progressLink Kozolupy by a footpath via Lužce
Still in the plan – restoring the historic field path. The path through the woods to Lužce and on to Kozolupy past the wastewater treatment plant is passable on foot and by bike. The paths lie outside our municipality's cadastral area, so it is for the neighbouring municipalities to build them.
- In progressA path from Vysoký Újezd to Mezouň and the railway stop
In the 2026 programme as a walking and cycling path to Mezouň and Nučice. Mezouň has marked out its paths to Vysoký Újezd and maintains them; the pavement and cycle path to the railway stop is at the design and survey stage, with construction due in 2027–2028. The paths lie outside our municipality's cadastral area, so it is for the neighbouring municipalities to build them.
