Our candidates

Lenka has been mayor for more than two years and, as she says herself, she sees working for the municipality as a calling. Empathy, a willingness to listen and a determination to find common ground are her strengths – on top of a law degree and many years of experience. From the start of her term she has tried to keep every part of our growing municipality and every generation of residents in mind, and she takes an active part in meetings with the local committees as well as in children's and community events. In the coming term she wants to go on working with the new leadership of the primary school and nursery and to finish the projects under way and in the pipeline – repairing the municipal farmstead, rebuilding local roads, restoring the wayside chapels, walking and cycling paths to Mezouň and Nučice, sports facilities for teenagers, community centres and public spaces where neighbours can meet, and social care for our older residents – and to keep improving the services the municipality provides.

As a member of the communication committee, Andrea has helped keep residents informed, and she has long argued for a stronger voice for Kozolupy and Kuchař in decisions about how the municipality develops. She holds a degree in regional development and administration with a focus on local government, and works at Seznam.cz. She wants to put her experience in communication, negotiation and project management to work on developing the municipality, securing grants and building a better dialogue with residents.

Over the past term Pepa led the preparation and delivery of the municipality's investments and building works, along with the development of technical services, energy and spatial planning. He had a hand in projects that move our municipality forward and make everyday life better for the people who live here. He wants to carry on developing the municipality thoughtfully, with an emphasis on good public space, public amenities and responsible finances. He has a clear vision of a municipality that thinks ahead and prepares projects that will still serve the generations after us.

Andrea has a genuine soft spot for cultural life in the municipality. If something was going on – especially in Vysoký Újezd itself – there was a good chance she and her team were behind it. As a special-needs teacher who has worked in social services for years, she has a natural feel for people. That is why her events are never just about the programme: what counts most is the atmosphere and the good spirits. She wants to carry on – developing the municipality's cultural life, supporting the community and giving people moments that mean something and bring them together.

David spent the past term as a councillor and chair of the communication committee, the committee responsible for keeping residents informed. He runs the municipality's Facebook page and website and helps produce the municipal newsletter. In his working life he co-owns an IT company specialising in custom web development. He regularly puts his experience from his own start-up and from running events for large corporate clients to use when preparing municipal events and looking after their technical side.

Over the past term Jarda chaired the school board and helped handle a difficult period of communication between the municipality and the school. He also takes an active part in local cultural events – you may have seen him leading the masks at the Shrovetide carnival. He arranged a partnership with the Sázíme stromy (We Plant Trees) organisation that, with the help of local residents, put more than 80 trees and over 300 shrubs in the ground, and he took on the problem of light pollution: part of the municipality now has street lighting with a gentler, warmer amber light. Jarda would like to go on working for the municipality, both on schools and on the environment – supporting the planting of greenery and climate-adaptation measures.

Barbora has lived in the municipality with her family for ten years. A law graduate and practising attorney, she sits on the municipal audit committee and would like to go on helping oversee how the municipality is run. She wants to focus above all on its legal affairs, on transparent decision-making and on keeping the municipality running smoothly and efficiently. She believes that open communication, a responsible approach and cooperation are the foundation of a happy life here.

Michal talks regularly to residents and to the municipal leadership and champions the issues that matter to the Kuchař part of the municipality. Professionally he helps companies adopt modern technology, and he brings the same project-management experience to his work for the municipality. “I want to go on being a strong voice for Kuchař in the development of the whole municipality. It is important to keep going with the projects that improve residents' lives – from transport and safety to community life, sport and leisure.”

Jakub has served on the building committee since 2024. Professionally he has long managed development projects in residential and office construction, together with the infrastructure that goes with them. Drawing on his experience of preparing, delivering and then managing property, he wants to play an active part in developing our municipality – above all by strengthening the way we prepare projects for the public amenities we lack, for transport infrastructure and for the long-term planning of further growth.
