David Šmehlík

David spent the past term as a councillor and chair of the communication committee, whose main job is keeping residents informed. He runs the municipality's official Facebook page and website and, over the past year, has also produced the municipal newsletter.

In his working life he co-owns an IT company specialising in custom web development, where he is responsible for the technical and product side of client projects. For several years he also worked through his own start-up as an event manager for large corporate clients. That experience of solving problems on the fly comes in handy at municipal events, where he usually handles the technical side and the preparations together with the cultural committee.
