Over the past term Jarda chaired the school board and helped handle a difficult period of communication between the municipality and the school. He also takes an active part in local cultural events – you may have seen him leading the masks at the Shrovetide carnival. He arranged a partnership with the Sázíme stromy (We Plant Trees) organisation that, with the help of local residents, put more than 80 trees and over 300 shrubs in the ground. He also took on the problem of excessive light pollution: part of the municipality now has street lighting with a gentler, warmer amber light.

Jarda would like to go on working for the municipality, both on schools and on the environment – supporting the planting of greenery and climate-adaptation measures.
